Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, Ready to feel inspired.
00:00:19.466 --> 00:00:21.065
Let's get started.
00:00:21.065 --> 00:00:28.807
Today is Day 11, Strength and Power.
00:00:28.807 --> 00:00:33.695
From the book of Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 29,.
00:00:33.695 --> 00:00:41.750
From the New Living Translation he gives strength to the weary and increases the power for the weak.
00:00:43.761 --> 00:00:48.963
Now, for the past few days, we've reflected on how sin brings challenges into our lives.
00:00:48.963 --> 00:00:54.402
When faced with these difficulties, it's natural to wonder where is God?
00:00:54.402 --> 00:00:55.664
Is he listening?
00:00:55.664 --> 00:00:56.906
Does he care?
00:00:56.906 --> 00:01:03.771
The prophet Isaiah spoke to people who were dealing with the threat of conquest and exile.
00:01:03.771 --> 00:01:13.201
They were constantly facing new fears and challenges, which often led them to anxiety and hopelessness.
00:01:13.201 --> 00:01:19.634
Now, over time, they began to say my cause is disregarded by my God.
00:01:20.721 --> 00:01:27.784
The Bible responds to human sin and suffering by pointing us to the eternal God when we face problems.
00:01:27.784 --> 00:01:38.272
It reminds us of something that we've known all along, but we tend to forget in our struggles God's eternal faithfulness, which is revealed most fully in Jesus.
00:01:38.272 --> 00:01:43.105
Isaiah assures us that God will not forget the world he created.
00:01:43.105 --> 00:01:44.849
Assures us that God will not forget the world he created.
00:01:44.849 --> 00:01:56.442
Sin and brokenness might impact our lives, but they're still under control of the Lord.
00:01:56.442 --> 00:01:57.706
God doesn't use his power in distant or impersonal ways.
00:01:57.706 --> 00:02:00.272
Instead, he promises to give strength to his people.
00:02:01.400 --> 00:02:04.888
The Christian faith doesn't deny the reality of our weariness.
00:02:04.888 --> 00:02:07.522
It offers hope to those who are tired.
00:02:07.522 --> 00:02:14.153
Our need to trust God never fades, and His strength is always new.
00:02:14.153 --> 00:02:19.325
Lord, God, so often we grow weary.
00:02:19.325 --> 00:02:23.092
Pick us up and renew our strength.
00:02:23.092 --> 00:02:25.758
Pick us up and renew our strength.
00:02:25.758 --> 00:02:32.913
God, we pray this so that we might put our hope in you, because we know there's no equal Amen.
00:02:32.913 --> 00:02:40.210
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
