Today is Day 14, a new joy Reading from the Gospel of John, chapter 2, verse 11, from the New Living Translation what Jesus did in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory.

Now, jesus' first miracle has always stood out to me, from a human perspective, it seems.

But this miracle also shows us that Jesus came not only to solve our biggest problem, which was sin and death, but to bring us joy of a full and abundant life with God.

When Jesus was born, the angels announced that he was coming and they said it was good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

Now we might have moments of happiness, but real joy is something deeper, something new.

Happiness is often tied to our circumstances, but joy is a gift from God.

Now, through Jesus' life and death, he rescues believers from the heavy burden of sin, both in our personal lives and in the world around us.

Once that weight is lifted, we can truly see God's character and the blessings that he desires for us.

But just like creation once rejoiced at the goodness of its maker, we can experience delight in God's gift of redemption and a new life through Christ.
