00:00:01.582 --> 00:00:06.413
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance.

00:00:06.413 --> 00:00:07.782
I'm Rick.

00:00:07.782 --> 00:00:12.673
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:12.673 --> 00:00:18.484
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:18.484 --> 00:00:20.089
Let's get started.

00:00:20.089 --> 00:00:39.953
Today is Day 17, a new resurrection Reading from 1 Corinthians 15, verse 20, from the New Living Translation but Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

00:00:41.661 --> 00:00:51.548
The new year often inspires us to make resolutions to change, breaking old habits, forming new relationships, looking at life with a fresh perspective.

00:00:51.548 --> 00:00:59.667
The gospel, however, it offers something far deeper and more lasting new life in Christ.

00:00:59.667 --> 00:01:06.188
The earliest Christians proclaimed this truth repeatedly Christ is risen from the dead.

00:01:06.188 --> 00:01:10.606
Because Jesus conquered death and rose to a new life.

00:01:10.606 --> 00:01:13.933
We too can experience a new life in him.

00:01:15.521 --> 00:01:25.706
All who believe in Christ receive the promise of eternal life, and that new life springs immediately through the power of Christ's Spirit dwelling within us, springs immediately through the power of Christ's Spirit dwelling within us.

00:01:25.706 --> 00:01:30.432
When we place our faith in Jesus, our life here on earth takes on new meaning.

00:01:30.432 --> 00:01:40.781
We come to realize that what we do now matters and Christ's Spirit leads us to live according to God's way.

00:01:40.781 --> 00:01:47.387
Christ transforms our imperfect efforts, using them to bring about good, both in the present and for eternity.

00:01:47.387 --> 00:01:52.852
Our hope in Christ isn't about just improving life in the here and now.

00:01:52.852 --> 00:02:15.045
Because Jesus is alive, we have confidence that he will also heal and restore us, our sins, our weaknesses, even our physical bodies, and though our bodies may one day die, we trust that our souls will live with him and that on that final day, he'll raise our bodies from the grave, just as he was raised.

00:02:15.045 --> 00:02:22.966
Repentance and faith in Jesus brings something truly new resurrection and eternal life through him.

00:02:24.250 --> 00:02:24.770
Pray with me.

00:02:24.770 --> 00:02:26.944
Thank you, god.

00:02:26.944 --> 00:02:33.049
You have given us the victory through Jesus Christ, so that death no longer has power over us.

00:02:33.049 --> 00:02:39.968
Show us the strength to live through you today In Jesus' precious name, amen.

00:02:39.968 --> 00:02:46.409
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
