00:00:02.564 --> 00:00:07.413
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance.

00:00:07.413 --> 00:00:08.734
I'm Rick.

00:00:08.734 --> 00:00:13.672
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.672 --> 00:00:19.466
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.466 --> 00:00:21.065
Let's get started.

00:00:21.065 --> 00:00:25.588
Today is day 26.

00:00:26.359 --> 00:00:28.288
Jesus, he is enough.

00:00:28.288 --> 00:00:41.253
From Colossians, chapter 1, verse 15, from the New Living Translation, the Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

00:00:41.253 --> 00:00:43.826
So I have a story.

00:00:43.826 --> 00:00:47.328
A high school girl walks to her locker.

00:00:47.328 --> 00:00:53.167
She, dreading the cruel notes she expects to find You're fat, you're ugly.

00:00:53.167 --> 00:01:01.671
A businessman checks his mailbox burdened by the bills that will make him think I'm a failure, I'll never get out of debt.

00:01:01.671 --> 00:01:13.510
In moments like these we a lot of times think if only I had enough friends or if only I had enough money, then Jesus would be enough.

00:01:14.992 --> 00:01:20.311
But the message of the gospel is that Jesus is always enough, no matter what.

00:01:20.311 --> 00:01:30.126
When Paul wrote about Jesus, rome was the most powerful empire in the world, claiming that only what was connected to Rome truly mattered.

00:01:30.126 --> 00:01:33.132
But the gospel tells a different story.

00:01:33.132 --> 00:01:40.326
The crucified Savior, jesus Christ, makes us established and firm.

00:01:40.326 --> 00:01:43.790
What matters most is our connection to him.

00:01:43.790 --> 00:01:48.516
The gospel proclaims that Jesus is always first.

00:01:48.516 --> 00:01:52.831
His death and resurrection reshaped history's priorities.

00:01:52.831 --> 00:02:02.769
The Roman Empire lost its power long ago and the struggles of our daily lives, as hard as they are now, will eventually be part of the past.

00:02:02.769 --> 00:02:06.475
But Jesus will remain over all creation.

00:02:08.001 --> 00:02:09.263
What are your priorities?

00:02:09.263 --> 00:02:15.562
In Jesus, the negative messages of our world are replaced by a new saving story.

00:02:15.562 --> 00:02:20.612
We're made new, without blemish and free from accusation.

00:02:20.612 --> 00:02:24.568
Let this story of redemption be first in your life this year.

00:02:24.568 --> 00:02:28.562
Pray with me, father, god.

00:02:28.562 --> 00:02:34.554
Give us a vision, father, a vision of the glory of Jesus Christ.

00:02:34.554 --> 00:02:45.314
Show us the awesome grace of our connection to him by faith, and make the story of his victory first in our lives, amen.

00:02:45.314 --> 00:02:52.069
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
