00:00:02.564 --> 00:00:07.413
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance.

00:00:07.413 --> 00:00:08.734
I'm Rick.

00:00:08.734 --> 00:00:13.651
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.651 --> 00:00:19.466
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.466 --> 00:00:21.065
Let's get started.

00:00:21.065 --> 00:00:25.806
Today is Day 30, new Home.

00:00:25.806 --> 00:00:28.571
From Isaiah 65, 17,.

00:00:28.571 --> 00:00:35.369
From the New Living Translation See, I will create new heavens and a new earth.

00:00:37.121 --> 00:00:41.031
The story of our journey with God starts with creation.

00:00:41.031 --> 00:00:45.194
God made the world and declared it was very good.

00:00:45.194 --> 00:00:47.462
That's from Genesis 1.31.

00:00:47.462 --> 00:00:53.051
But sin has deeply impacted our experience in this world.

00:00:53.051 --> 00:01:04.370
It surrounds us with harm and destruction and even for those of us who know the gift of salvation in Christ, we still feel sorrow.

00:01:04.370 --> 00:01:12.248
We grieve lives that are cut short and we pour effort into projects that we may never see completed in this life.

00:01:12.248 --> 00:01:24.028
In the face of this, god draws our attention yeah, he draws our attention to his ongoing work of renewing creation.

00:01:24.028 --> 00:01:36.331
Isaiah's call to see deliberately echoes the creation story in Genesis, but it also moves us beyond it.

00:01:36.331 --> 00:01:53.771
God's ongoing work brings the kingdom of God that Jesus proclaimed in Mark 1.15 into an ever-growing reality around us Now, while our journey with God begins with creation, it leads us through the mission of Jesus.

00:01:55.194 --> 00:02:10.343
Through him, the spirit opens our eyes to see the renewal that God has already begun, not just the physical blessings like health or prosperity, but in peace so profound that all of creation is involved.

00:02:10.343 --> 00:02:16.319
This peace is symbolized by images like the wolf and the lamb feeding together.

00:02:16.319 --> 00:02:24.628
Now, as you seek signs of renewal, you need to think about how is creation being cared for?

00:02:24.628 --> 00:02:28.171
How are the poor and vulnerable protected?

00:02:28.171 --> 00:02:32.235
How are the devil's schemes being stopped or held back?

00:02:32.235 --> 00:02:50.620
This year, as you continue your journey with God, take time to look around and marvel at the new creation unfolding and rejoice in the complete work of Christ's salvation.

00:02:50.620 --> 00:02:56.361
Won't you pray with me, father?

00:02:56.361 --> 00:02:57.182
God, we love you so much.

00:02:57.182 --> 00:03:00.028
Lord, show us where you're renewing, both us and our world, by the work of Jesus, amen.

00:03:00.028 --> 00:03:02.973
Well, that's all for today.

00:03:02.973 --> 00:03:08.003
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
