Send us a text

Imagine standing in the Jerusalem cemetery on resurrection morning, surrounded by confusion and excitement—such is the scene we explore today in Wisdom for the Day. Join me, Rick, as we unravel the transformative encounter of Mary Magdalene with the risen Jesus from the Gospel of John, Chapter 20, Verse 14. This moment is more than a mere historical event; it's a profound narrative that reshaped Mary's life and has the power to inspire us today. With Jesus’ physical resurrection, we witness a triumphant victory over evil and death, offering a beacon of hope in our often tumultuous lives.

As Mary's joyous proclamation, "I’ve seen the Lord," continues to ripple through generations, we find ourselves called to share in this incredible news. Each day becomes an opportunity to embrace faith and gather strength from God's Word, allowing us to witness boldly in our daily interactions. Come, let us journey together in this spiritual exploration, drawing inspiration from an eternal message of hope and resurrection. Remember, you're never alone in this endeavor—I'm here, sharing love and light, as we seek wisdom and courage through prayer and reflection. Don't forget to join me tomorrow for more insights and reflections from Scripture.

I'm Rick.

00:00:08.734 --> 00:00:13.651
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.651 --> 00:00:19.466
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.466 --> 00:00:21.065
Let's get started.

00:00:22.820 --> 00:00:32.146
Today is Day 48, morning Travels From Gospel of John, chapter 20, verse 14, from the New Living Translation.

00:00:32.146 --> 00:00:36.390
She turned around and saw Jesus standing there.

00:00:36.390 --> 00:00:46.201
If you had been in the Jerusalem cemetery on resurrection morning, you would have witnessed a most unusual scene.

00:00:46.201 --> 00:00:55.786
In a place where people typically move quietly, there was a flurry of activity, people dashing about with confusion and astonishment on their faces.

00:00:55.786 --> 00:01:08.368
A woman, mary Magdalene, hurried back to Jerusalem, only for two young men, peter and John, to soon come sprinting in the same direction towards the tomb that stood mysteriously open.

00:01:08.368 --> 00:01:17.329
Now, amidst all this, one figure calmly walked through the garden, christ Jesus having just stepped out of his tomb.

00:01:18.512 --> 00:01:21.243
Now, this garden walk was unlike any other in history.

00:01:21.243 --> 00:01:32.153
As Jesus appeared to Mary to share the astonishing news of his resurrection, her world was turned upside down, and it turns our world upside down too.

00:01:32.153 --> 00:01:37.948
It wasn't just Jesus' spirit or personality that rose that morning.

00:01:37.948 --> 00:01:40.634
It was his entire physical body.

00:01:40.634 --> 00:01:46.810
He had defeated the powers of evil and death could no longer hold him.

00:01:46.810 --> 00:01:49.740
This is the good news of that day.

00:01:50.722 --> 00:01:57.822
When Mary ran back to the disciples, she wasn't with news of a stolen body or with a tampered grave.

00:01:57.822 --> 00:02:10.225
She had a joyous proclamation I've seen the Lord and ever since that moment, jesus' disciples have been running to spread the incredible news Christ is risen.

00:02:10.225 --> 00:02:12.248
He has risen indeed.

00:02:12.248 --> 00:02:16.495
Pray with me, father, god.

00:02:16.495 --> 00:02:20.445
Our walk with Christ has assured us that he is risen.

00:02:20.445 --> 00:02:25.675
Fill us to witness boldly to you in our conversations with others.

00:02:25.675 --> 00:02:30.122
In Jesus' precious name, we pray Amen.

00:02:30.122 --> 00:02:36.955
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
