Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:14.253 --> 00:00:20.083
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:20.083 --> 00:00:21.670
Let's get started.

00:00:24.521 --> 00:00:27.911
Today is Day 57, wake Up Call.

00:00:27.911 --> 00:00:42.753
We'll be reading from 1 Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 52 from the New Living Translation the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

00:00:42.753 --> 00:00:48.240
There was a strange teaching circulating in the church of Corinth.

00:00:48.240 --> 00:00:56.448
Some members claimed the resurrection had already taken place and they thought a bodily resurrection at the end of time didn't really matter.

00:00:56.448 --> 00:01:00.841
Their focus was on spiritual resurrection in the present.

00:01:00.841 --> 00:01:03.609
But Paul strongly disagreed.

00:01:03.609 --> 00:01:07.881
He emphasized that resurrection of life is bodily life.

00:01:07.881 --> 00:01:21.173
When God's trumpet sounds at the end of time, it will be powerful enough to wake the dead, graves will open and God's people, soul and body, will rise to meet the Lord.

00:01:22.421 --> 00:01:27.522
Our bodies are important to God and that's good news because they're important to us too.

00:01:27.522 --> 00:01:34.846
If we're committed to living for Christ, we treat our bodies with care and we go to the doctor when we're sick.

00:01:34.846 --> 00:01:37.233
We exercise to stay healthy.

00:01:37.233 --> 00:01:48.722
Anyone who doubts the significance of our physical bodies should spend time with someone battling a debilitating disease and witness how that person struggles every day.

00:01:48.722 --> 00:01:54.073
Our bodies matter and so does the sorrow that accompanies death.

00:01:54.073 --> 00:02:00.680
Well-meaning people sometimes tell grieving families that the body in the casket is just a shell.

00:02:00.680 --> 00:02:02.203
But we know better.

00:02:02.203 --> 00:02:10.164
One day our loved one's soul will be reunited with that body and together they will rise from the grave.

00:02:10.164 --> 00:02:27.413
Christ's resurrection reunites what God never intended to be separated body and soul and at the sound of the trumpet all who are in Christ will be made whole, fully restored in both body and soul for eternity.

00:02:28.842 --> 00:02:31.901
Pray with me, lord.

00:02:31.901 --> 00:02:39.987
We await the day when open graves will display the power of Christ's resurrection as our earthly bodies weaken.

00:02:39.987 --> 00:02:47.044
I pray we grow in anticipation of that day In Jesus' name, amen.

00:02:47.044 --> 00:02:47.891
I pray we grow in anticipation of that day in Jesus name, amen.
