Day 69 Transformation-Growth | 1 Samuel 10:6

Day 69 Transformation-Growth | 1 Samuel 10:6

Send us a text

Change is often perceived as straightforward, but true transformation runs much deeper. In this engaging episode, we dive into the spiritual lessons from 1 Samuel 10, focusing on the powerful narrative of Saul, Israel's first king. Saul's story serves as a cautionary tale about the nature of transformation—initial change may spark hope, but without consistent growth, it can easily fade.

As we reflect on the importance of nurturing our faith, this episode encourages listeners to contemplate the need for ongoing personal and spiritual development. We explore the idea that real transformation is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey filled with continual growth and deeper connections to our faith. Do we seek change superficially or are we committed to deeper, consistent personal growth?

Join us as we dissect these themes, drawing from biblical teachings that inspire ongoing transformation in our lives. Together, let's embrace the daily opportunities to grow in faith and love. 00:00:02.564 --> 00:00:07.394
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance.

00:00:07.394 --> 00:00:08.762
I'm Rick.

00:00:08.762 --> 00:00:13.673
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.673 --> 00:00:19.489
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.489 --> 00:00:21.019
Let's get started.

00:00:21.019 --> 00:00:21.881
Let's get started.

00:00:21.881 --> 00:00:27.807
Today is Day 69, transformation Growth.

00:00:27.807 --> 00:00:42.597
From 1 Samuel 10, verse 6, from the New Living Translation the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power and you will be changed.

00:00:45.920 --> 00:00:48.503
Transformation means change, but not all change is true transformation.

00:00:48.503 --> 00:00:57.892
Some people change jobs, move to new towns or swap friends at the first sign of difficulty, but they often find that their deep-seated problems follow them wherever they go.

00:00:57.892 --> 00:01:02.216
Changing our circumstances alone doesn't lead to real change.

00:01:02.216 --> 00:01:08.295
It doesn't lead to lasting change either.

00:01:08.295 --> 00:01:13.182
Others change based on fleeting emotions.

00:01:13.182 --> 00:01:16.447
I've known people who quit smoking when they felt motivated, only to start again when old cravings resurfaced.

00:01:16.447 --> 00:01:24.162
I've also counseled people who longed for spiritual growth but only opened their Bible or prayed when they felt spiritual, but only opened their Bible or prayed when they felt spiritual.

00:01:24.162 --> 00:01:31.521
This kind of change influenced by momentary feelings don't produce long-term transformation.

00:01:31.540 --> 00:01:36.387
True transformation has to be continual and consistent to be effective.

00:01:36.387 --> 00:01:40.992
In today's Bible passage we see an early scene from Saul's life.

00:01:40.992 --> 00:01:51.762
When Saul was anointed king, the Spirit of God took hold of him and he began to change.

00:01:51.762 --> 00:01:54.468
People around him noticed something special happening in his life and they recognized him as their king.

00:01:54.468 --> 00:01:57.093
But Saul's transformation was not consistent.

00:01:57.093 --> 00:02:06.745
Over time he disobeyed God, stepping beyond the limits of his authority, and refused to allow God's ongoing work of transformation in His life.

00:02:08.009 --> 00:02:14.506
You may look back on your time in your life when you experience significant spiritual growth, but that's not enough.

00:02:14.506 --> 00:02:20.081
God desires continual, consistent growth in each of us.

00:02:20.081 --> 00:02:28.074
Christ calls us to keep growing each day to allow His transforming work to be ongoing in our lives.

00:02:28.074 --> 00:02:31.348
True transformation is not a one-time event.

00:02:31.348 --> 00:02:35.570
It's a lifelong journey of growth and deepening faith.

00:02:35.570 --> 00:02:39.522
Pray with me, father.

00:02:39.522 --> 00:02:39.823
God.

00:02:39.823 --> 00:02:42.510
Our progress in faith is often minimal.

00:02:42.510 --> 00:02:45.429
Our spiritual growth is inconsistent.

00:02:45.429 --> 00:02:53.312
May our spiritual fervor increase and may our love for you be renewed each day Amen.

00:02:53.312 --> 00:03:01.210
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
