Day 79 Transformation-Foundation | 1 Corinthians 3:12-13

Day 79 Transformation-Foundation | 1 Corinthians 3:12-13

Send us a text

Have you ever felt like your spiritual growth has stalled? Today's meditation on 1 Corinthians 3:12-13 offers a remarkable parallel between our faith journey and the extraordinary growth pattern of the bamboo plant.

For four years, bamboo appears dormant – invisibly developing an extensive root system underground. Then suddenly, in year five, it rockets upward 90 feet in just 60 days. This natural wonder perfectly illustrates the Christian life. Those seasons where growth feels imperceptible aren't wasted time; they're foundation-building periods preparing you for explosive spiritual advancement.

When Christ Jesus is our foundation, we're capable of building spiritual skyscrapers. The devotional emphasizes how early biblical convictions create the conditions for later harvests of righteousness. While immediate results might be scarce, God is steadily working beneath the surface. The scripture reminds us to build with materials that endure – gold, silver, and precious stones representing values that honor God – rather than temporary pleasures that won't survive eternity's test.

Don't be discouraged by slow progress. Like bamboo, your growth comes in God's perfect timing. The foundation you're establishing today through faith, hope, and love will produce abundant spiritual fruit when the season is right. Trust the process, knowing that anything genuinely rooted in Christ will withstand every trial. Your breakthrough isn't canceled – it's being prepared.

00:00:19.466 --> 00:00:21.065
Let's get started.

00:00:21.065 --> 00:00:34.456
Today is Day 79, transformation Foundation from 1 Corinthians 3, verses 12 and 13.

00:00:34.456 --> 00:00:40.771
If any man builds on this foundation, his work will be shown for what it is.

00:00:43.180 --> 00:00:50.905
The bamboo plant is fascinating because for the first four years of its life it appears to do almost nothing.

00:00:50.905 --> 00:00:58.442
But during the fifth year, something remarkable happens it shoots up 90 feet in just 60 days.

00:00:58.442 --> 00:01:03.209
The question is, did the bamboo grow in two months or five years?

00:01:03.209 --> 00:01:13.331
The truth is, bamboo couldn't experience that kind of rapid growth unless it had spent those first four years storing up nutrients.

00:01:13.331 --> 00:01:33.329
In the same way, in our Christian lives, we may go through seasons where visible growth seems slow or non-existent, but it's during those times that a foundation is being established that prepares us for future seasons of amazing growth.

00:01:33.329 --> 00:01:43.781
A lot of times, the source of that growth can be traced back to the values and spiritual practices that were firmly planted a whole lot earlier in life.

00:01:43.781 --> 00:01:54.271
Now, if Christ Jesus is the foundation of our lives, then we are capable of building a spiritual skyscraper.

00:01:54.271 --> 00:02:12.985
When we commit ourselves to biblical convictions early on, whether in youth or at the start of our faith journey, we set ourselves up for a harvest of righteousness later Now, even though growth spurts might come much later, they result from a foundation built on Christ.

00:02:14.388 --> 00:02:21.995
The Bible reminds us to build on Christ's foundation with enduring materials Gold, silver and precious stones.

00:02:21.995 --> 00:02:24.157
1 Corinthians 3.12,.

00:02:24.157 --> 00:02:28.811
They represent firm convictions and values that honor God.

00:02:28.811 --> 00:02:37.209
Selfish pleasures, on the other hand, will not survive the test of time or eternity.

00:02:37.209 --> 00:02:43.371
They'll be burned up, but anything rooted in Christ will withstand the fire of judgment.

00:02:43.371 --> 00:02:50.110
So build your life on Christ's finished work with lasting values like faith, hope and love.

00:02:50.110 --> 00:02:59.411
Don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results, because, just like bamboo, your growth is coming in due time.

00:02:59.411 --> 00:03:01.334
It's God's promise.

00:03:01.334 --> 00:03:10.530
Trust in the process, knowing that the foundation that you're laying today will produce a harvest of spiritual growth in the future.

00:03:10.530 --> 00:03:14.802
Pray with me, father God.

00:03:14.802 --> 00:03:18.231
Thank you from the firm foundation of Christ's finished work.

00:03:18.231 --> 00:03:33.009
Help us to build solidly with faith, hope, love, forgiveness, reconciliation and more, in Jesus' precious name, amen.

00:03:33.009 --> 00:03:43.466
